I'm excited to guide you through Day 2 of our 7 day Beginner Yoga Challenge.
Today, we're focusing on a practice that combines elements of weight loss, strength building, and toning, all in just 10 minutes!
As always, I'm keeping things simple and straightforward. My goal is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone, especially beginners. So don't worry if you're new to this, I've got you covered.
Now, let's talk about the benefits of today's practice. While yoga isn't typically thought of as a weight loss tool, it can certainly support your weight loss goals. The movements we'll do today will help boost your metabolism and build lean muscle mass. Plus, yoga can help reduce stress, which is often linked to unhealthy eating habits.
Strength building and toning are also key components of today's session. We'll be using our own body weight to create resistance, which is a gentle yet effective way to build strength. This type of exercise is great for beginners because it allows you to work at your own pace and level.
In today's video, you can expect a mix of poses that will get your heart rate up a bit while also challenging your muscles. We'll flow through some sun salutations (don't worry, I'll guide you through them!), and incorporate some standing poses that will help with balance and core strength.
